Outstanding service, quality for money and friendly staff great location smack bang in centre of keswick.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Im not sure who Ken but his review is far from the warmth of this establishment he must have confused it with another. Allan and I and our two doggies CJ a 23 month retriever and Sadie aged 5 a cavachon came across this hotel b&b online and thought we would give it a go. The £160 for 3 nights including breakfast was the temptation and dogs go free and in the town centre just off of the square. Well we werent disappointed we learnt that it was recently under new management with Chris and Allan is Manager and what a happy welcoming guy he is nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in room 7 it was bright and airy very comfortable beds and overlooked town just perfect there was even a fan in the room which I love. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower with lots of lovely hot water was what you need and lovely white towels. Theres plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits complimentary as well which is a nice touch. A complete surprise was on Mondays which was the day we arrived certain beers were half price including Wainwrights Smooth and Bomberdier so what a plus that was £2.80 per pint. Theres plenty of car parking in towon but you can park behind the hotel for 45 mins for off loading and loading luggage which was a huge help. We are booking in every month now for a few nights as it was just perfect. In the past we have regularly stayed at Inn on the Square and Mary Mount Hotel but the prices are now completely ridiculous. Thanks again Chris and Allan for a great stay we will be back

Back from a stay this weekend I didn't catch the owners name the gentleman that looked after us. But he was so welcoming and very friendly Pub had a great atmosphere and I think its a true reflection of the staff. Very oldy worldly so if you like that then this is up your street. Rooms are basic but very clean Would visit again. Thank you victoria and Ian

Stayed for one night and booked direct from the website. Although breakfast was an additional fee on the website, we were later told that this was included as we booked directly, which was great, but maybe this should be stated on the website? Cosy bar and restaurant, which was clean and the staff were very nice. Food and drink was reasonably priced and was decent pub grub and you can order using the app if you want. The room was large and had everything you needed. It was a little dated and was in need of a spruce up, especially in the bathroom,, where some of the tiles need regrouting and there was a crack / foot sized hole in the bathroom cabinet. Breakfast was good. The large breakfast is certainly large! You help yourself to tea and coffee, but I think this is the first time that I have stayed where fruit juice, fruit, cerials or croissants were not there to help yourself to. This certainly isnt an assue to us, but I know a lot of people like this. We would certainly stay again and already looking at booking again between christmas and the new year

Really nice pub, dead welcoming atmosphere. The landlord is lovely ,after meeting us once we came the next day & he remembered what drinks we had. He’s a credit to the place :) nice touches like chess & dominoes available to play. Really cool AI pictures of the locals on the wall too!

Andy was excellent behind the bar. His rapport was fantastic, and he went above and beyond to accommodate items from the normal menu on a Sunday. He ensured we were well looked after, and because we enjoyed the atmosphere so much, we stayed for a couple of extra drinks. Andy was very attentive throughout, regularly checking that everything was okay and engaging us in friendly conversation each time. Although we’re not local to Keswick, this isn’t our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. We will definitely be back and would happily recommend it to friends.

Had the night here for the lights switch on, the staff were lovely and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The meal was lovely I had steak and ale pie and there was proper meat in the pie. The decor is a bit dated at the moment but I believe they are going to make a start this winter on updating but the room and bathroom were clean. I would come again

I popped in for lunch with my wife and two dogs and we enjoyed the food. The barman was very friendly and our food was cooked to perfection. My wife had the lunch deal hunters chicken with either a starter or dessert jam sponge with custard. I had the chicken feast platter which was lovely. Nice pub which has just been decorated. It was a quiet Friday in town so it was nice to be able to walk in and get a table and then enjoy our meals.

A lovely pub. We were lucky to get a table here on an impromptu visit, but staff went above and beyond to make sure we were seated, and the service and food was really good and timely. Thank you :)
